With over 100 weddings in our portfolio, you can say we know a thing (or 100 things!) about timelines. Here are two of our primary reception timelines for you to look over and adjust to fit your ideal evening run of show.
- There are many ways to set up your reception timeline, but we feel strongly about this order of events. Each catering team runs dinner service at their own pace, so consult with your catering manager before finalizing the dinner hours, and as always, run this by your photographer and day–of coordinator, to make sure it feels and flows well with the rest of the day.
- This assumes salads are being served and are not pre-set on the tables.
- After dinner is served, coordinators work closely with the entertainment and catering partners to determine the optimal time to cut the cake and move on to dancing.
- This is a timeline to keep everyone on track, but we also want the day to have some flexibility, so we can give or take 10 minutes on either end of the timeline to give us some buffer.
